Economic Development Authority (EDA)

The City Council (by authority of Minnesota Statutes Chapter 469) established an EDA by adopting an enabling resolution on May 21, 1990.

The EDA is responsible for making loans from the Revolving Loan Fund, however, loans greater than $100,000 need City Council approval. The EDA was established in order to preserve and create jobs, enhance the City's tax base, and to promote the general welfare of the people of Benson.

Individuals with questions or interested in applying for an EDA loan should contact Hillary Tweed at City Hall at 320-843-5460 or by cell (701) 388-7327 or e-mail Hillary.tweed@cedausa.com.  You may also contact the City Manager at 320-843-5445 or e-mail for inquiries and/or questions.
