AMBUSH PARK

Reservations

 *Reservations for camping and shelters can be made by clicking here for our online reservation system. A map of the park can be seen by clicking here.

*Reservations are taken for camping dates between May 1 and September 30 of each year. Water and sewer hookups will not be available at the park once temperatures drop below freezing at night. The date the park closes for the season will be determined by the weather and will vary each year.

*All hard pad sites, #1-13, have water, sewer and 30 and 50 Amp electric hookups.

Payments

  *Reservations require payment for the entire length of stay plus the reservation fee. Payments must be made online through our reservation system to finalize the reservation.

  *Reservations can be made up to one year in advance.

  *A non-refundable reservation fee will be charged per reservation.

   *Campers who pull into a site without a reservation and have verified with the caretaker that the site is available for the time that they wish to camp, can pay using the payment envelopes located on the registration board at the park.

Overflow Area
  *Our overflow area is located in the grassy area next to the registration board. There are electric hookups only (no sewer or water) to accommodate two campers. We do not take reservations for these sites at this time. There are payment envelopes located on the registration board to pay for the length of your stay when you pull in. There are water faucets located by the shelters and a sewer dump located by the bathrooms for your use.

 
Cancellations 
 
*Cancellations can be made by sending an email to camping@bensonmn.us with the date and site number(s) that you would like to cancel. Refunds due (if any) will be credited in the manner that they were received.
   *All monies, except the reservation fee and cancellation fee will be refunded for a cancellation request received at least 14 days prior to the date the site is to be occupied.

    *All monies, except the reservation fee, cancellation fee, and one nights camping fee will be refunded for a cancellation request received less than 14 days prior to the date the site is to be occupied.
   *No refunds will be made on cancellation requests received after the site was to be occupied.
   *No refunds will be made for any part of a 2-day reservation or a 3-day holiday weekend once the site has been occupied for a portion of that time.

 

Ambush Park Campground rules and regulations                        

  Check In time is 12:00 Noon.  

  Check Out time is 11:00 am.

   All campsites, sites 1-13, have water, sewer and 30 and 50 Amp electric hookups.

   Campfires are allowed in designated area or in fire rings. All fires must be extinguished before leaving or retiring.

   All pets must be confined, leashed, or otherwise under the physical control of a person at all times.

   You must clean up after your pet, even on the nature trails. If you fail to follow these pet rules you may be asked to leave the park immediately.

   Quiet time is from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. Please no generators during this time.

   Garbage cans are provided; please use them for your litter. Please do not throw cigarette butts on the ground.

   Respect your neighbor. Do not cut thru their camping area. There is plenty of area to walk around without disturbing your fellow campers.

   NO smoking allowed in restrooms.
